This is good stuff, so we're going to make you work for it. Anyone who's familiar with TR knows that we have a penchant for quality photography. PC components don't always offer much in the way of visual flair, but with a little creativity, good lighting, and careful cropping, we can usually come up with at least one shot that has some sort of artistic merit. The question is, can you?
For the next week, we'll be accepting submissions for an impromptu PC photography contest. TR editors will judge the submissions on creativity and overall picture quality, so the hardware in focus need not be anything particularly impressive or even recent. Photos can be posted in this thread, and you can submit as many as you'd like. Only one prize per person, though. We'll be checking IP addresses to make sure folks don't game the system with multiple accounts. Those who try risk being banned from the forums and front-page comments.
In the interest of sanity, we're going to cap the size of submissions at 1600 pixels wide. Naturally, any photo submitted should be your own original work. And, please, keep it clean. Google and Flickr both offer free image hosting if you need somewhere to drop your shots.
We'd like to limit this thread to submissions only. However, we have started another thread to discuss the contest. We've also given a couple of copies of Metro 2033 to Dposcorp and SpotTheCat, the tireless moderators who keep an eye on things in our Visual Haven forum.
