2010 Fantasy Football Open Leagues

Wed Jul 28, 2010 7:45 pm

Training camp opened today, so it's time to realign those gerbil brains and get ready for another season. There's been a small change since last year, as Stiffie & I are now sharing the multi-league duties. Stiffie will manage the Keeper League and the [TR] BBQ League. I'll be handling all of the open leagues.

Here's how it'll work this year. If you want to relieve the anger you felt when an early scratch played a big game and your "injury" replacement rode the pine all afternoon, PM me. I will acknowledge each PM but I will wait to create a league until I have 11 who want to play.

Let the trash talking begin.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

OK, Open League 1 (placeholder name only) has this as a lineup to date:

Captain Ned
Mattsteg
Stiffie
Hoser
lex-ington
Dposcorp
FroBozz_Inc

There must be another 5 looking to join in. After all, look at all the meaningful injuries in the first week of training camp. Hell, camp's 3 days old and already Jerry Jones is badmouthing his coaches over Dez Bryant. Who wouldn't want to pick a team in this minefield?

Note to all in [TR] Wide Right: The draft has been changed to Wednesday, 8 September at 9:30 PM EDT. I realized that the first draft time penalized those further west of me.

You're the first in Open League 2. Once I get another 10, I'll send details to all. My guess is that once the preseason games hit TV, there'll be a lot of people looking to play.

If you've been invited but can't get into [TR] Wide Right, it's because your commish is an idiot. Yahoo leagues have seven bazillion settings & I overlooked the default league size of 10. It's now been amended to 12 so everyone can squeeze in.

My bad.

I am the *fpking. I speak for the gerbils.
I speak for the gerbils, for the gerbils have no usernames.

Bring back the gerbils!
