Berserkben and I are on the way back from the BBQ; stopped for some coffee and free wifi.

Once again we had a blast. Idchaffee cleaned house yet again in the bean bag tourney, and for his efforts he won the the free copy of Metro 2033 that TR was nice enough to give me. Of course, stiffee had his clock cleaned by Z-man afterwards, but that is how it always goes.

We had a giant cooking contraption this year, complete with flame thrower. Got to see it to believe it. Z-man again did a great job with the food, and drfish and family once again came thru with a excellent location and hosting services. Many thanks for letting us use the place, and pass that along to the family.

I saw license plates from Michigan, Tennessee, Illinois and Indiana, and we had some attendees from Texas and California as well. For those of you that flew in, thanks for making the trip and I hope it was worth it.

The swap meet was fun, with various complete systems, LCD monitors, hard drives and SSDs moving around, and a Ipod touch or two as well.

I leave you with a short video of everyone eating.

In a excellent example of a blind squirrel finding a nut twice in a row, I successfully defended my Non-ZMan TR BBQ Bean Bag Toss Heavyweight Championship. Then Z-Man made me his bitch, just like last year.

I got some real nice stuff and we all had a blast. Thanks again to drfish & his family for hosting and thanks to everyone who came out. Especially ejtie (sp?) who appeared to spend most of this morning cleaning up.

I have pictures and some video, I'll post that after I de-sand the car.

Fixed!

I had some help from the folks w/ the 4 girls.

I have a short video of the end of your sprint. Folks, you seriously have no idea how fast this guy was moving down the beach.

As I'm just getting home, I believe I will sleep and post some pictures/videos tomorrow.

I will get some of my pictures up just as soon as I can. Saturday turned into an ordeal since I ended up catching a piece of concrete on the way home wrecking a wheel.

I ended up getting home @ 1am and spending most of Sunday trying to recover from a migraine, exhaustion, along with a rambunctious puppy.

I am just glad everyone had a good time and enjoyed the food.

P.S. The flamethrower was equal parts fascinating and terrifying at the same time.

Hopefully the puppy helped you feel better not worse... :)

That sucks though, was the wheel the only damage? Your car was so nice...

Here are my photos!

Hardware dealing started early on.
Image

Notice PRIME1's glasses on the left - when he saw I was taking pictures, he moved to cover quickly. ;)

After that, some good old-fashioned BS'ing started up while we waited for the food preparation to wrap up.
Image
Image

Note z-man running the grill like a pro!

After we've all eaten, folks gather around for some cornholing.
Image

idchafee begins the process of identifying the brackets. We eventually end up pulling names out of his hat!
Image

With the brackets identified, z-man officiates. 11 points for eitje, woo!
Image

At one point, when I ask him if he can see, he replies "I've had people sitting in front of me all day, but that's alright. I'm able to tell what's going on by the sound."

Also, I believe I may see how idchafee ended up winning so handily this year.

His first oponent was less than ten years old...
Image

...his second opponent was not old enough to legally drink...
Image

...his third opponent was of the fairer sex...
Image

...and finally, he played against The Gleek:
Image

My favorites series of pictures taken this day are when the titular winner of BBQ7's beanbag toss goes up against z-man.

He starts with a smug sense of security...
Image

...and (less than 2 seconds later) winds up in confounded awe:
Image

After z-man stopped messing around and whipped him, most of us went swimming!

I'm not sure what happened to SHOES here, but it looks like it was horrible:
Image

After about half the folks had gone home, someone had the wise idea to take a group photo (I told you this would turn out great w/o the flash!):
Image

Also, to illustrate idchafee's heroism in tent-rescuing, I have this editted photo for your enlightenment:
Image

Finally, drfish got the blowtorch out to start up the smores fire.
Image

Unneccessary demonstration of pyropotence? I THINK NOT.

Everyone contributed to making this weekend a great adventure. I thank everyone who welcomed me, and I look forward to next year!

Hey, that kid was tough! Let the record reflect that he was up 14-1 in a game to 15 win by 2 before I came back and CRUSHED HIM LIKE THE BUG HE WAS!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!

It felt like about 50 times that far. Running on sand when you're fat and out of shape is very taxing. And every time I got close, the stupid wind would flare up and it would shoot another 20 feet ahead of me.

Catch 22 on the puppy, she is funny, smart, cute and fulls of energy. But dealing with a migraine I just didn't have the energy to really enjoy it.

As for the car, yeah I couldn't see anything as having been damaged visibly and when they drove it into service their first guess was a bent rim and damaged wheel. They are run flats on there so it was hard to tell.

If so, then that is different from the other BBQ codes.
