Gaming in Tight Spaces - MAX11L

Sat Sep 25, 2010 6:26 am

Just finished my SG05 build and did a complete performance assessment. This case & PSU have more potential than more people are giving it. I built it with the stock PSU, a Clarkdale at 4.6GHz and air cooling first. This newer revision is the MAX11L....or maximum performance in 11 liters of space. It's a water cooled quad core at 4.2GHz and a 480GTX with the upgraded 450W Silverstone PSU.

Here are some pictures:

Here is the original air cooled build:

And here is the updated version:

I came here after reading the recent mini-ITX build that Geoff wrote...good stuff, but I thought some of you might be interested in the possabilities with a little extra effort ;)

Whow that things like a mini coupe... looks really tidy inside grats on your build. The fan in the first shot looks like one mean sucka.

Wow. I myself am considering a i5/6870 build inside a SG05, but I've been having doubts about the PSU's ability to sufficiently power everything. Now I know it's definitely doable, since you have a Clarkdale and a GTX 480 running inside of one. Thanks!
