Going to the Pentagon to meet Pres Kennedy being escorted by BMW motorcycles, I mean they sure didn't take the time to get stuff correct. The graphics sux to, sure a disappointment considering COD MW2. I hope the Multiplayer is better.....
These are the same dolts that brought us COD5 which also sux'd....
Just my 2 bits

Special Ops mode is gone; Treyarch replaced it with their Zombie mode, similar to the one in World at War. They also let you play deathmatch and team deathmatch against bots. Other than that, it's pretty similar to the last Modern Warfare game.

This makes me sound like an old man... I guess I'll go play some Counter-Strike. Ideally I'd still be playing Soldier of Fortune 2 but it has no community.
Aphasia wrote:Black Ops is buggy, and they made a whole lot of wrong choices about it. Contracts, wager-matches, perk-setups, etc, no quick-scoping, etc. I didnt sign up for an FPS only to get something akin to Black Ops Manager. About the only really good things they did was getting back dedicated servers and not letting kill-streaks stack. Still way to many killstreak sometimes though. Even the levels play akin to each other more then MW2 even though they look different.
Still, I'll play it just for the fact its new and MW2 has horrible matchmaking, etc. But I wish they would've keep the things that MW2 did right.

They have been fixing things right along.
MP Lag/stutter has been patched/fixed.
Server browser friends tab now works.
Having fun online with this game.Aphasia wrote:and they made a whole lot of wrong choices about it. Contracts, wager-matches, perk-setups, etc, no quick-scoping, etc.
These are all good things.
Contracts, wager-matches are an added dimension to the game.
Lean, prone, dedicated servers
Good looking MP maps
Game runs good on my ancient machine.
Props to Treyarch

My thoughts on the various matters are these:how do wager matches detract from the game? it only adds, and it is very fun imo. and i think the perks are much better balanced. so did you like getting noob tubed and commando stabbed every 5 seconds in mw2? because that really doesnt happen in black ops at all, thanks to the way treyarch balanced and fixed the perks. how is that a wrong choice, to make a more balanced game? its obvious you were an intervention quick scoper in mw2 since youre pissed about the no quick scoping thing, just because treyarch decide to not cater to that lame playstyle doesnt mean that it was a wrong choice

Being all dedicated servers are from a single source, can't Treyarch and gameservers.com fix it so it has gateways that collate the lists of servers that data center has instead of DDosing people with individual queries to each server?
My fav mode is Sticks and Stones, that xbow from the Skinamax movies is lots of fun (especially in HC, kill then BOOM! his teammate dies too) and useful for flushing out snipers in the homes in Nuketown.
