So I'm a little confused at the whole Sandy Bridge cpu naming system. Now I was looking at the I7-2600k compared to the I7-2600 and both seem to have integrated graphics. Now I thought there were models without the gpu support? Or is this just determined by what kind of motherboard you use to have integrated or not. Also what is the overall diference between the two cpu's I listed? Thanks!

All of the Sandy Bridge processors released so far include integrated graphics. Some of the integrated graphics are twice as powerful as the others (Intel HD Graphics 3000 vs. 2000). If you want to use the integrated graphics, you must buy a motherboard with the H67 chipset. If you want to overclock the unlocked -K processors, you must buy a motherboard with the P67 chipset. There's supposed to be an X68? chipset coming that allows for more features to be used at once as well. I'm still not sure if we'll ever be able to use the onboard graphics alongside discrete graphics on the desktop with this generation, though it would be nice considering the quality of Intel's integrated GPU and it's ability to do some very quick transcoding.

I thought X68 is suppose to be with the upcoming workstation-based Sandy Bridges (LGA2011).

The one that allows you to use the features of both H67 and P67 is called Z68 and it is coming in Q2 2011. X68 is probably what they'll call the LGA2011 chipset coming this fall. Don't you just love code names?

You're right, I was confused Hopefully Z68 will allow us to use Sandy Bridge as fully intended.
