Howdy all,

I have a whole bunch of people in my Google Contacts that I rarely email and never call on the phone. I'd like to trim down my Google Contacts or create a new group (whatever it takes) so that my phone's address book isn't littered with people I will never call.

I use a HTC Wildfire.

Is there a quick and easy way of doing this? I love Google Contacts and the syncing up of info, but at the same time I don't want my phone full of people I'll never call.

Any ideas or links to online guides for this sort of thing?

The easiest way is probably through the GMail interface via your PC. You should be able to delete the ones you don't need any more and have that trickle down to your phone automatically. The latest GMail app supports labels, so if you categorize the lesser-used contacts properly, that should also show up in your phone. You may have to upgrade your Gmail app on your phone, but that should just be a quick trip to the market on your phone.

Android has a "sort/show contacts with phone numbers" setting so my 200 contact only show ones who I really call.

Now if I could only find a way to display just one, not 18 email addresses, I have for each of my contacts I'd be golden.
