We've given away plenty of swanky new graphics cards over the past few months here at TR. Now, we have a couple more—and we're going to make you work for them.
MSI has graciously donated two of its N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II graphics cards for us to give away to a pair of lucky readers. On top of that, we have a boatload of digital keys for Just Cause 2 and Mafia II that we'll be handing out in pairs. Our two grand prize winners will get copies of both games, as will a whole bunch of runners up. In total, we expect to have 35 different winners for this particular contest, so your odds of taking home a prize should be excellent.
The graphics cards at stake are based on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560 Ti GPU, and they feature a custom dual-fan cooler design that keeps the GPU cool without making too much noise—a very nice upgrade indeed.
The whole point behind a swanky graphics card is to deliver gorgeous visuals to your display. With that in mind, we're going to run a little screenshot contest to see who does the best job of capturing in-game scenes. There will be two winners: one for the most beautiful screenshot and another for the most amusing. Each person can submit five images for consideration, so there's plenty of room to be creative.
To enter the contest, post your screenshots in this forum thread. Submitted shots should be your own original work, safe for work, and no larger than 1600 pixels wide. If you're going to submit multiple screenshots, please keep them all in the same post. Remember, only five images per person. Google and Flickr both offer free image hosting if you need somewhere to drop your shots.
We'd like to keep the contest thread focused on images, so we've also set up a
separate thread if you want to discuss the contest and your favorites.
Please, only one entry (with up to five screenshots) per person. We'll be checking accounts and IP addresses to make sure no one's trying to game the system. Also, due to legal restrictions and the perils of international shipping and customs, this contest is only open to readers in the United States and Canada, excluding Quebec.
Submissions will be accepted until 11:59 PM CT on Tuesday, March 8. After that, we'll judge the entries and announce the winners on March 11. The winners will be sent a PM in the forums and will have 72 hours to claim their prizes.
