TR Fantasy Baseball 2011

Postposted on Thu Mar 03, 2011 6:01 pm

Baseball has been a tetchy sport 'round here, mainly because of the length of the season. I'm more than willing to start a Yahoo! league and oversee it, but to do so I'll need firm full-season commitments from seven other potential managers. There's about 3 weeks left to get this done, so if you're willing please PM me now. If I don't get seven others, there will be no TR league.

Yeah, I love MLB Network. The way they can just zip in and out of games live is awesome, and I like the former players/hosts better than what's been on ESPN the last few years. When the Cards games are over or they're off, every night is MLB Tonight for us, plus they have a nice selection of out-of-market games on more often than ESPN.

I've actually never even seen it in person. The cable companies I've gone through have never had it. Thank goodness this is my last semester of Undergrad.

I'm glad we're gonna return to yahoo again - I really didnt like the ESPN interface last year. Yahoo now has auction drafts if anyone is interested, in addition to offering the standard snake drafts.

PMs sent to:

idchafee
derFunkenstein
DancinJack
druidcent
njenabnit
Turkina
UberGerbil

There's still room for 4 more teams in the league, but Yahoo won't accept odd numbers. For each pair that want in, I'll PM the league details.

Draft is currently set for Monday 28 March 2011 at 10:00 PM EDT/7:00 PM PDT

Don't forget to bump your clocks this coming weekend.

EDIT: I changed the setting governing pickups so that if you pick up a player and drop another it no longer takes effect the next day. Instead, it takes effect that day unless that player's game is within 15 minutes of starting. IOW, if you pull up your team at noon Sunday and find that someone on your team made the DL last night, you can still replace that player by 12:45 for a 1:00 PM start.
