Damn it's been a while. LJA how's it going? Is the server still up? I am up for some rounds this weekend at some point.

The server is still there, though I haven't played on it myself in some months. For me, though, this is looking like a bad weekend for it. :(

I'll likely keep it through the end of the year. Maybe we can get a few rounds in in October...

Re: LJA's UT2004 server (update: new public server)

I've submitted a request to Gameservers.com to shut the public UT2004 server down and close out my account.

I still have copies of my in-home server on a couple of my machines. I may bring it up occasionally, but it will likely be a spur-of-the-moment deal. Refer to the original post in this thread for access details.

Mods, please feel free to "unsticky" this thread.

Agreed. FYI, the public server will stay up until Dec 27 (IP address is 8.9.16.127). Unfortunately, the Christmas mutators (Santa Hats, ONS-Christmas) weren't working on the public server when I checked it the other day, and I'm too pre-occupied/lazy to go back through my old stuff and try to figure them out. However, they're still working on my in-home rigs.

I've got to boot up the server, and I'm not sure when I'll get home this evening - perhaps around 9 pm CDT. If it ends up being earlier than that, I'll post here.

I haven't changed routers, so the proper ports should still be open...

Just in case, I can run my UT2004 server.

The only caveat is that redirects are probably dead at this point.

The Ventrilo server is also running (Port 3784).

They can be both reached at Krogoth.servegame.com.

I forgot about the redirect issue. :-? I'll have to give that one some thought.

Anyway, it looks like I'm going to have to abort, too. I reinstalled my OS not too long ago, and I haven't yet reinstalled UT2004.

I got UT2004 reinstalled, so if I can get free tonight, I'd like to. It will have to be your server, though; for some reason, mine isn't getting through the firewall. I've tried everything I can think of. Very puzzling.

I got the server online.

You can dial in krogoth.servegame.com or look it in the Server Browser under "Krogoth's UT2004 Server".

The Ventrilo server is also online at the same address at 3784.

I picked this game up in a Steam sale about a year ago, and I've only played it with an IRL friend a few times (10 hours or less). We've been getting a bit bored with the vanilla gameplay, so I'm wondering what mods we've missed out on.

I've tried the Killing Floor mod, but the real game is so much better that I can't bring myself to play the mod. What other awesomenesses have I missed? (and how the hell did Chrome not pick up awesomenesses as a misspelling when it flagged "gameplay"?).

Krogoth. I see you ask this a lot. Do you actually get replies (like in direct messages)? Do people just show up at the server when you ask this?

Curious. It's been ages since I've had some UT goodness
