Based on the comments in this article, http://techreport.com/articles.x/20863, about the Asus' Sabertooth P67 between me and indeego, I give you this poll.

Features. 3yr warranty is pretty good. I generally upgrade about that often so it is almost a non-issue for me.

cheese.

Do you have a site that equates the cost of these features with the extra warranty?

I guess I see 5 years as "We stand behind our product." I commended Seagate when they added it (but then took it away.)

I generally give old PC's to charity/schools/coworkers, that are more than happy to take them. Having the warranty would be a great feature for these groups.

This isn't scientific, per say, but it does the job.

I just double checked some stuff on Newegg.
Compare this to the Pro board. You lose the following, real world used important features.

1) The third physical X16 slot
2) The on-board Bluetooth, which also gives the ability to boot, monitor and over-clock your board from your smartphone.
3) No PCI or 2.5" expansion cover with two additional USB 3.0 ports to plug in to the board.

So, I pay $40 more and lose all that? What do I gain? 2 more years of warranty and a plastic cover?

I want less features, like no need for 20+ USB ports (where I don't have that many slots in my case to plug into all the headers anyways), and cheaper prices.
The Model M is not for the faint of heart. You either like them or hate them.

I don't consider those features *or* the three year warranty to be particularly useful. I'm with Flying Fox -- leave 'em all off, and knock a few bucks off the price.

(It is actually pretty rare that I spend more than $100 on a motherboard any more. Even a basic micro-ATX IGP board has pretty much everything I need these days.)
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Micro-ATX can definitely provide everything that you need for a gaming PC.

While I agree with the "mATX has all you need" crowd, ASUS made a bit of a blunder with this board, because if you want an end-all, be-all board, it needs to have everything. From a marketing perspective, at least. I'm pretty sure that in realistic terms, 3 years is plenty and both boards are overkill. I wouldn't go with the Sabertooth or the P7P67 PRO. I would most likely go with the LE if I was going with a full ATX board for an 1155 socket.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
