AT&T WHY?!

Tue Jun 07, 2011 10:23 am

AT&T just released the HD7s on their network. I was very excited to make the jump back to a 4.3" screen and they went and priced it at $199.00 for a phone that tmobile now offers for FREE. Granted $200.00 isn't much money but still why the premium when others offer if for free.

(yes I am aware it has a better screen but that probably doesn't cost any more than the original one)

Guess I'll be sticking with my focus until I see what Nokia has to offer.

$200 is a lot of money for a phone, IMO.

It's not like it's much different anywhere. When it came out on T-Mo I'm sure it was 149.99-199.99. Christmas time and it'll be down to 49.99, and then you can grab it without feel too much remorse.

yeah, it was $200 with a two year contract when it first came out like 7 months ago. My point is that you can get the exact same phone for free on another carrier - I would think AT&T would price comparatively. I'm just wanting a free phone I guess. That's really what they are worth if you have to get a contract.

Just wait like the T-mob people. It will eventually drop in price. You can count on it.
The Model M is not for the faint of heart. You either like them or hate them.

Or T-mobile will raise the price back up to $199 as soon as they have to obey their new corporate masters. ;)

I'm sure it will be $50.00 or free on AT&T within a month or so but my buyers remorse period on my current phone just ended. Looks like I am riding out my current phone for a while.
