Retrogaming question over Windows 7 x64

Fri Jun 24, 2011 12:40 am

(Moderators/admins, I'm not sure if this is an allowable topic, so you feel like I've contravened any rules with this thread, feel free to delete or lock this.)

This is a simple question really. I'm planning to build a rig with Windows 7 x64. Avid retro gamer that I am, I have a collection of console emulators I use from time to time that I plan to move to the new computer from my present Windows XP x32 rig.

GENS
ZSNES
VirtualBoyAdvance
RockNES
ePSXe
MAME (in the future perhaps)

Will they run without problems on Windows 7 x64? Or should I stick to x32? Thanks in advance.

Most of those emulators should work fine under 7 x64.
Gigabyte X670 AORUS-ELITE AX, Raphael 7950X, 2x16GiB of G.Skill TRIDENT DDR5-5600, Sapphire RX 6900XT, Seasonic GX-850 and Fractal Define 7 (W)
Ivy Bridge 3570K, 2x4GiB of G.Skill RIPSAW DDR3-1600, Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H, Corsair CX-750M V2, and PC-7B

If not, I run DOSbox on x64 just fine to do all my old gaming.

Why are you still using ZSNES? Time to grab SNES9x.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
