MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti
the rest is up in the air, but will be overclocking and

Old system had a 3 1/2" floppy. Is that even needed anymore?

Its been a few months , but I'm back on track. Thanks to eveyone who commented on my original post.

Purchased everything listed and threw in a Intel 320 SSD to boot. Plus a P8Z68-VPRO mobo(Thanks to the Tech Report Review), WD Caviar Black 1tb and 8gb of Corsair Vengeance mem.
I did use my old Psu and I'm starting to think that was a bad idea.
This is going to sound weird, but I get a high pitched sound from the case.
I have cleared the fans as being the cause and pulled the Gpu and run with the IGPU, no change.
It seems to only happen when the computer is at idle.
Is it the Psu and if so, does that mean its going out? What else could it be??

High pitched whining/squealing sounds are usually due to the inductors (coils) in a switching regulator circuit. There are switching regulators in the PSU, but there are also switching regulators on the motherboard and video card. You've already ruled out the video card, but unless you can tell where the sound is coming from it is a tossup whether it is the PSU or mobo.

Inductor whine is generally harmless (it does not mean that anything is about to fail); but if it is loud enough it can be pretty annoying. If it turns out to be the motherboard, I'd try to RMA it since this is technically a manufacturing defect.

Edit: There's a *slight* chance that it could even be something else (e.g. hard drive), but since it seems to be related to system load the mobo and PSU are by far the most likely.

Its probably time to upgrade the PSU anyway. I never heard a peep
out of the PSU until I stuck all the new stuff in the case.

At some point, I will fiddle with OCing and add another gtx560.
What would be your best guess as to what brand will provide me with SILENCE and
efficiency.

What do you want to pay?
where do you live?
Will you OC the cards as well as the CPU?

750 watts is enough for two 560 TI if you are not OC to high heaven.
You could get away with less even if you are looking at good quality and you don't plan to OC.

Jump the psu with a paperclip, hole 4, green, and hole six, black on top row to see if that is the source of the noise.
