Hello,
This is my first post on the Forum, so thanks for any help in advance.
My last build was in early 07.
I've settled on,
Intel Core i7-2600K
MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti
the rest is up in the air, but will be overclocking and
running SLI down the road.
Needs:
Mobo
Memory
1 or 2 HD?
cpu cooler?
Old system had a 3 1/2" floppy. Is that even needed anymore?
Using Existing:
Case
Cooler Master Stacker 830/831 Atx
Psu
Ultra X-Pro ULT40029 750-Watt Power Supply - ATX, Dual 80mm Fans
DVD Burner
LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner
Thanks to ya...
Its been a few months , but I'm back on track. Thanks to eveyone who commented on my original post.
Purchased everything listed and threw in a Intel 320 SSD to boot. Plus a P8Z68-VPRO mobo(Thanks to the Tech Report Review), WD Caviar Black 1tb and 8gb of Corsair Vengeance mem.
I did use my old Psu and I'm starting to think that was a bad idea.
This is going to sound weird, but I get a high pitched sound from the case.
I have cleared the fans as being the cause and pulled the Gpu and run with the IGPU, no change.
It seems to only happen when the computer is at idle.
Is it the Psu and if so, does that mean its going out? What else could it be??
I appreciate your comments.
