Well, seems like I will be in the market for a new laptop soon. I am getting tired of lugging mine around and it is really more power than I need. I originally bought it to be a primary machine but then got the chance to build a desktop so I don't need all of the power. It is a quad core i7 XPS 16. Not only do I not need the power my needs have changed a bit.
What I am looking for:
Screen<14"
Lightweight (Dell weighs in at 6.?pd)
Full size keyboard
QUIET! (fan on my dell runs constantly)
COOL! (can fry an egg on my dell)
Budget is around $750 (would like to be less)
Open to almost any brands except toshiba (don't ask) I love my fiances 13" Macbook Pro but not the price premium.
Uses are web browsing and coding. Some light photoshop/illustrator work but just for little web stuff.
tl;dr : Need small, quiet, cool laptop for coding and browsing. Smaller than 14"
