Heh heh... though I haven't been *exclusively* AMD the whole time since then, I used an AMD CPU in the very first PC I ever built. Here's the chip:
That's AMD's version of the Intel 8080, circa late 1970s. Ran at a whopping 2 MHz, synchronous with the system bus (there was no concept of a clock multiplier in those days). Yes, AMD has been making Intel-compatible CPUs for over 30 years, all the way back to the 8-bit days!
(The first "modern" AMD CPU I used was a 200 MHz K6... it ran Windows NT 4 really well! Been using AMD CPUs pretty much exclusively ever since.)

liquidsquid wrote:hehe! It was dark, so no pics, but I can assure you they will be taken! One thing for sure it is a big mofo and it can "process" a lot of dirt quickly. Being I have no swimming pool and how damned hot it was this summer, I am pretty excited.
In the mean time my lowly 2-core AMD is chugging along and still locking up on an irregular basis. It is going to be a LONG time before I upgrade thanks to this pond.
My neighbor is taking a day off from work just to watch the hole get dug. At least I am not THAT bad. Only taking a half day .
Of fish? Probably bass, walleye, and if I am lucky, trout. Maybe some fancy goldfish for fun.

Holy crap they cost a lot of money! No wonder it costs so much for a couple of day's labor.
Note: forum trimming picture... I didn't frame it THAT bad.
