TR Fantasy Football 2011

Now that an agreement has been reached, are we going to setup the leagues this year? And I think we have a keeper league still going right?

I believe I set up the keeper league and invited all who played last year to return. Once Ned joins, I'll designate him as commissioner

Hey all,

I've been super-inactive here in the TR forums as of late (the last year or so, really), so I'm going to abdicate from the Fantasy Leagues, including my spot in the Keeper League. I've had a great time playing with you all over the years, but I think that a currently-active forum member deserves my spots.

Thanks again. =)

For what it's worth - My brother-in-law Kelly (usually motown-something as the team name) - who's been in the TR public leagues with us since the beginning - and is fantasy addicted like me...

Is and has been DYING to get into our keeper league for years - I can assure you he'd be an active participant.

TR Keepers 2011

Split out stuff from the main FF thread for the Keeper league.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

Get me his email and I'll send him an invite as soon as Stiffie gets around to passing off the commish flag.

Last year's not yet signed up:

Dragons - druidcent
Fumblerooski - Mattsteg
Purple Drankenstein - Fro_Bozz

Apparently I'm just an idiot.. never hit the last button to actually register the team... *sigh* I just hope that's it for my stupid mistakes for the season.

OK, all we're missing is Mattsteg and Stiffie handing over commish to me.

Invite sent to Fro_Bozz's bro-in-law.

Do we let him pick his 3 keepers from the Critical Hits roster or does he go into the pre-draft? I'll leave that up to the group.

I *think* this happened once in the past (someone taking over someone else's another keeper team).
If I recall, they had the choice whether to keep the three players from the previous players's team or start with 3 fresh predraft picks.

My Bro has signed in as "Motor City Mashers" and is very excited to be in the keeper league :D

So far, I'm "Taste Dwayne Bowe Yo" - subject to change

Looks like we are missing one more person.

It's Mattsteg. If he relinquishes his team, Hoser is next up.

OK, we have our 10. For keeper & pre-draft purposes The Motor City Mashers may keep up to three of this roster (if I'm off on their current teams, sue me  ):

Jahvid Best - RB, Detroit
Tom Brady - QB. New England
Steve Breaston - WR. Kansas City
Brent Celek - TE, Philadelphia
Matt Forte - RB, Chicago
James Jones - WR, Green Bay
Jeremy Maclin - WR, Philadelphia
Randy Moss - WR, Retired
Santana Moss - WR. Washington
Ray Rice - RB, Baltimore
Michael Vick - QB, Philadelphia
Keiland Williams - WR, Washington
Danny Woodhead - RB/WR, New England
Adam Vinatieri - K, Indianapolis
San Diego - Defense

Can we please dispense with can't-cut lists in keepers? We're plenty capable of making our own valuations of our players capabilities, and the problem can't cut lists supposedly solve isn't really an issue for our league.

OK, the Move Post widget has gone wonky as I tried to move this into the Keeper sticky thread with no avail.

I've got no issue over dropping the Can't Cut List in Keepers, but it's a league-wide decision. Post your votes here, please.

Here... or here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77396 ?

This is at least the 2nd time in 3 years I've had a can't cut player go on IR or have some other long-term injury. At least this year Yahoo cleared him from the list pretty quickly, but we all know they keep some expired turds on there way too long.

Here, in the thread titled TR Fantasy Football 2011. Still can't get phpBB to move the post so the questions and answers will stay here. Right now we've got 2 of the needed 6 votes to ditch the Keeper Can't Cut List.

I was able to split/merge.

I also vote for getting rid of the can't cut list.
