2600K load temps - 65 degrees?

Mon Sep 26, 2011 5:01 am

Hey all,
Been working with this current build for about a month or two, and its almost where I want it:
Asus P8Z68-V Pro
2600K
650D case
H50 cooler (with fans set as intake)
OZC Agility 3
750W power supply that intakes from below the case
Zotac 560 Ti

(Can't think what else would be relevent to cooling)

I have the processor clocked at 4532Mhz (103MHz x 44) @ 1.37 V.

When I idle, the Asus tool has me at around 25-30 degrees. At load (using both SMP and GPU Folding@Home), I'm getting temps of between 63-65 degrees.

Is that a decent range? THis is my first foray into non-stock cooling, and the first time I've applied my own thermal paste (after a decade of building my own machines!)

Just looking for some validation!

Running at 4.5Ghz with 65 degress loads temps is extremely good.

As a rule of thumb, anything under 70-75 degrees is perfectly fine.
