sorry if this is particularly dumb but I didn't get an answer over at the MSI forums...you guys never let me down (hope you appreciate the sucking up)
on an X58 platform, everything* default or Auto in the BIOS, shouldn't the NB Frequency be the product of DRAM clock x QPI?
I can't get the math to equal 2663.6 (what CPU-Z reports) unless I multiply using the RAM's default clock speed, which I'm not using. As you see I'm running the RAM at 533MHz.
Shouldn't I see 2130.8MHz (532.7 x 4) for the NB Frequency?
Everything but the RAM timings are Default or Auto in the BIOS - Memory Ratio=Auto, Uncore Ratio=Auto, QPI Frequency=Auto.
*X58 defaults to 533MHz but my RAM's default is 667MHz. It doesn't like to POST with 6 DIMMs @ 667 but it's fine at 533.
A couple screen shots should help...
Thank you All!
