I am looking to get a few 16 GB Class 10 SDHC cards for gifts this holiday season. Which brands do you recommend for quality and reliability?

Transcend
Lexar
Kingston

I've only got limited experience with them, but I've had good luck (so far) with PNY.

A Kingston micro-SDHC card I own seems to have unreasonably high power usage (kills the battery life of the device it is used in).

Thank you....any other opinions out there?

I have 2x Patriot LX Series 16GB class 10 cards. I use one in my tablet and the other in my SLR camera. I haven't had any problems with them in 3 months in either device. The speed on them is more than fast enough for my camera (Canon Rebel XT). I'd definitely recommend them based on my experience with them.

I usually go with SanDisk because they developed the SD standard.

That being said, I'll often pick them up based on read/write spead or Class.

At the moment, I think most of my flash cards (mix of SD, microSD, and CF) are PNY, SanDisk, or Transcend. No particular issues noted, yet.

Thank you for the recommendations. My brother-in-law is about to have a kid and I do not want to get a flash card that will malfunction. I will probably stick with PNY, SanDisk and Transcend.
