Motherboard for Shuttle SS51G?

Thu Sep 25, 2003 6:37 am

Hi guys!

I'm a newbie in this forum, please be gentle... =)

Q: Has anybody come across a motherbord with which you can replace the standard one in the SS51G?
The thing is that I want to do an upgrade so can get into the hyperthreading mania. :p
If I've understood things right Shuttle has done some of their own mb layout based on ATX flex, right? I guess one solution could be to fit a mb from SB61G2, but where do you get hold of that?

Have also tried to get some feed back from Shuttle, guess what? No answer(yet anyways, but it's only been a week since I mailed them..)

Hoping on some positive news from you ppl!

Cheers
//Michael

The big problem is that while Shuttle does make the motherboards for their cubes and has in the past sold an occasional one inpdependant of the cube case, finding one is a major PITA. If you do come across a source, let the rest of us know. Some of us would love to have them. Also I'd be interesting in taking the old SS51 board off of your hands if you find another ;)

Hey Howard,

Shuttle sells replacement motherboards for their XPC line:

Though I don't see a hyperthreaded board yet available except for the FB51 which uses the 845GE chipset.
