Is the galaxy nexus too big for my hands?

Sun Dec 04, 2011 7:57 am

So.... my nokiia n86 is getting long in the tooth and doesn't have all these apps that everyone else has... and my phone service never bothered to make it work properly with their internet so I can only use the net on it when I've got a wifi connection rather than 3G.

I like the idea of the galaxy nexus in terms of features... but it LOOKS ridiculously MASSIVE compared to what i'm used to. Although pretty much every top-of-the-line smartphone is bigger than my current phone, but about 2/3's or less the thickness.

Is it really that big? Will i care? Can i just slip it into my jean pockets and forget about it?

You can compare phone sizes here, but I don't see a N86 on the list.

Wow that's pretty cool. I can actually just put in my monitor size and hold my current phone up to my screen to compare...

Everything is BIGGER than my current phone... even the iPhone 4s is huge compared to a n86...

Yeah but I have tiny hands :(

I like tiny phones. Hence being worried about the galaxy nexus being too big... hm...

The Gnex is a large phone but I believe it will fit comfortably in your hands (obviously test this out when they are available). The best
way to determine how the Gnex will feel is to try holding the Samsung Droid Charge at your local store. The Charge is nearly identical in
width to the Gnex, albeit it's shorter. The width of a phone is typically why folks complain about a phone being too big or uncomfortable. A few
mm actually makes a difference on the width! My wife and I did not like the way the Razr felt in our hands. It was the phone we wanted but
it has to feel right in our hands before we put a 2 year commitment on it!!! The Razr is a bit too wide and the corners come to more of a point unlike
the Gnex and Charge. The rounded edges of the Gnex and Charge help the phone fall perfectly into the base of your palm. You will notice that
on the phone compare link here http://phone-size.com/?s=1%2C22%2C3%2C85 It's actually a more rounded and smoother corner than
the iPhone. I have yet to hear a complaint about the phone being uncomfortable in all the reviews that have been provided on the Gnex.
Of course, I need to try it out before I commit and hopefully this weekend will be that weekend!!!

Well maybe not... but your name sounds like a bot and your original post had some seriously messed up formatting.

Lol! Sorry on the formatting. I may have been using the return key a bit much and it displayed it a bit differently after posting.
The name comes from Call of Duty - friends used to call me a bot and wouldn't count my score - nickname is Boo so they came
together!
