NFL 2011/2012 - Week 14

Thu Dec 08, 2011 6:40 pm

YUP!!!!! There is a game tonight . . .and it holds a lot of weight for Steeler nation. Why you ask??? Cause the Ravens slapped them silly twice for the season giving the Ravens the tie-break advantage, so they better beat the Raven's record or show up as wild card, and as for the rest of the season, I would say that the Ravens have an easier schedule.

Anyways . . . . .

Thursday, Dec. 8
Cleveland @ Pittsburgh - They still have a match up at the end of the season too, so the Steelers better win this one.

Sunday, Dec.11
Tampa Bay @ Jacksonville - What a useless game. Should be a good one for the Bucs young blood though.
KC @ NYJ - Jets better keep winning if they expect a good position in the wild card hunt.
Houston @ Cinci
New England @ Washington - They have a pretty easy rest of season too.
Atlanta @ Carolina - Atlanta should be the better team in this one.
Philly @ Miami - Playing for pride now.
New Orleans @ Tennessee
Indy @ Baltimore - Will be interesting to see if Orlovsky can put up numbers like he did last week.
Minnesota @ Detroit - this should be a shillackin'
Chicago @ denver - Tebow may scramble, but he can't hide.
San Fran @ Arizona - Blow out in session
Buffalo @ San diego. - [suspense voice] Who will emerge 6-7. [coughing]
Oakland @ Green Bay - upset pick of the week. . . .wouldn't that be funny though!
NYG @ Dallas - Two mediocre QB's. Which defense wants the win more?

Monday, Dec.12
St,. Louis @ Seattle

I'm really hoping for some good games this weekend.

Broncos beat Bears 13-10 in overtime

After failing to score on their first 11 possessions, the Broncos erased a 10-0 deficit in the final 2:08 of regulation. Tebow hit Demaryius Thomas with a 10-yard touchdown pass, then got the ball back with 58 seconds left and drove Denver downfield for Prater’s kick.

The Bears won the toss in overtime and were in field goal range when Marion Barber coughed up the football at the Broncos 34 and Elvis Dumervil recovered.
Tim Tebow had more than twice as many pass attempts as Caleb Hanie did.

There is no scientific explanation for what is happening to the Denver Broncos. There is no other plausible way to make sense of these games and the amazing, miraculous way with which they win week after week. Not the victory at Miami or the last-second beating of the New York Jets and certainly not Sunday afternoon when the Denver Broncos and Tebow were wretched for more than 55 minutes and somehow won a game that can’t rationally be analyzed.
It just happened.
The Broncos were losing by 10 points to the Chicago Bears with barely more than two minutes left in a game in which they had done nothing to make anyone think they would score. And then there were some passes. And there was a touchdown. And there was a dumb play where Bears running back Marion Barber ran out of bounds stopping the clock. And there were two very long field goals by Denver kicker Matt Prater that would be amazing in any other game in any other season. And the last of these field goals won the game in overtime, 13-10, which sent the Broncos running in wild delirium around the field.

Gush while you can, the Patriots will score more points than the Bears' anemic offense did.

Would you say this was a Tebow win or a Bears loss?

Aaaahhhhh Chicago . . . . .might as well find a comfy place to watch the playoffs with the rest of us. . . . . . . . we'll all be by Fitzpatrick's house to watch the games . . . . . . wanna join us? :-?

Bears loss. Just like last week versus the Chiefs. Bears offense actually was decent when we had Cutler and Forte but taking your two biggest playmakers away tends to have an impact.
