Hi , im pretty new to this site .

I´ve been recommended by a friend on here.


so yeah i got this problem with my LCD tv.
i wonder whats the problem , ive cheked all board for bad components and havent find anything

I have to wait 40 sec for power on but that i can live with ,

pc input only works but only with that green picture , hdmi gets signal but no picture or sound just black screen

Have you tried using the vga port and a 3.5mm audio jack to confirm that the PC is working and the TV is working and the problem is specifically with the HDMI out and/or HDMI port on the TV?

If yes, then the issue likely requires some messing around with which HDMI in port you use on the TV (usually only 1 or 2 will work with a PC and the other 3 are slightly different).

Then to get sound go into contorl panel (vista) -> sound -> playback devices and either disable/activate the appropriate HD out / HDMI out or whatever it is called output for the HDMI signal. (i.e. most mobo setups will have different required settings to get the right signal out). Also check that if you are using an older nvidia card that the S/PDIF connection to get sound out over HDMI is connected to your mobo.

I think Windows 7 is something like: control panel, Hardware and sound, Sound/Manage audio devices

ty for the reply ... =) .. but the vga port only works ,all other ports end up black screen with sound or white screen with sound , the only port thats getting "picture" is vga. i think its the controller board on the tv thats damaged cuz the menu picture is looking great. and now it starts up like a normal tv, no delay , ive tested every port on the tv and no succses =) even analog tv and cable tv- just a white screen with sound
