No I ain't, It's called Precision driving. I was overtaking a parked car while a bus was travelling in the oppoise direction. There was a 2ft overall seperating distance between the side of the car and bus.....plenty of room. My mum's car is a 9 year old (L Reg) Ford Escort 1.6LX.

It isn't possilble to obtain Forcus's with that engine capacity, thoes cars are avaliable in 1.4 (75bhp), 1.6 (100bhp), 1.8 (115bhp), and 2.0 (136bhp) petrol forms and a 1.8Tdi (90bhp). It's also avalaible in a 215bhp 2.0 RS Turbo form!

For a 17 year old, a 1.9 is way way OTT, you will crash that within a year mate.

Hi. I keep to speed limits religously, and I consider myself a very careful driver, I'm not a boy racer. My parents are perfectly fine with the fact I've opted for a large deisel Engine. It has 90bhp, and 285lb/ft of touque, which yes it pretty powerful, but I wouldn't consider OTT.

I've managed to get an insurance quote of £1750 from Robert Sprays Insurnace, if your interested, Third Party Fire and theft. I'll be keeping the car for at least three years. The other night I made a spread sheet of costs between this 306 1.9Tdi and a Saxo 1.1i (I'll send you the spreadsheet if anyones interested?). The Peugeot would cost me around £150 more to run over a three year period, which I think is well worth spending that little bit extra and getting a much better car. Remember, the 1.9Tdi is capable of 50-60mpg, compared to the 40-45mpg of the Saxo 1.1i. I've reasearched into many cars, and I've gotta say, the 306 has come out tops for me. I'll be also using my car for work purposes, I'll be covering around 200-300 miles a week, so I reckon a 306 1.9Tdi is certainly worth it.

A 1.9 litre engine isn't that fast. If you are careful everything should be fine.

I wouldn't say a 1.9Tdi is slow, but I agree with the point you are making. Because I've been driving my parents 1.6LX Ford Escort, I'm pretty used to driving pretty poky cars, so a 1.9Tdi should be no problem.

Good for you, the concept on the workings behind an internal combustion engine isn't that hard to understand. You still can't get a Forcus with a 1500cc engine in it though.

Its an Escort RS Turbo Series II, in white Its been in the family since new...i remember looking at it in my uncles garage when i was 7 and i wanted it ever since. Finally, at 22 its mine! Its gonna get its weekly clean today, what with being white it attracts dirt quickly. Ive not modded it at all, its in perfect condition and i want to keep it that way...apparently theyre worth more to the RS collectors if theyre in showroom mode
When the turbo kicks in...well its hard to describe. Have to watch out for the damn speed cameras that are popping up everywhere

....LOL, cool, it sounds pretty impressive. I know someone who has an Escort MKII rally car, that has been created from a standard 1600cc engined MKII escort. Infact it's the guy I work with at Tricoms brother, I'll have to get him to write the details of it down so I can post on here to show you. It's pretty impressive, I think I racall it's 0-100-0mph time being something like 10.5 seconds! Not sure, but I'll get the details to you soon! I have another mate who was in my year at school too. His dad had a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo4 (one of my favourite cars btw!), which he used for Rally! Everything was stripped out of it except for the essencials. It had been tuned from the stock 280bhp to a gusty 300bhp, and the car bearly weighed a metric Ton! It's 0-60mph time was 4.0 (McLaren F1's is 3.2) seconds! The reason I'm talking in past tense, is because the car is now dead, he had a 5th gear 120+mph crash in a Rally! He hit a bump at an angle, ploughed into a tree and flipped the car 4 times! The thing also had anti-lag, that's where fuel is still injected into the engine even when the throttle is laxed, so that when the power is reapplied, there is no lag in reaching the engines peak power output (it's also where the exhause pipe spits fire, which is illegal on public roads, good job he could swtich it off with a switch)! It also had a dump valve, this is designed to keep the turbine in the turbo spinning when the throttle is laxed, as the engine stucks rather than blows when no power is applied, and in normal circumstances this would stop the turbo dead, but the dump valve is designed to release the pressure within the turbo so that the turbine can continue spinning under its own momentum so that when power is reallplied, just like the anti-lag, the turbo is running as it's maximum more or less straight away, without having to gain momentum from a stanstill again. Anyway, here's some pictures of the beast. On one picture you will see me standing next to it, because the guy took me out a ride in it! I was only 14 at the time on the picture, lol. I'll also try and get some pictures of the car who has the Escort MKII.

What kind of issues mate? A lot of our two problem was parents, because of the age difference, but at the minute Colette is simply throwing the spanner in every conversation I try and have with her. Just the other night I was telling her how I'm gonna take her out when I get mi wheels, and all she had to say was basically that I'm not a good driver and she don't trust me. She's never seen me driver ever, so whats it to her to judge me. She judges me too early and she simply underestimates my capabilities, it isn't just related to this, but it always been an overal problem and it breaks my heart. All I ever want to do is be happy and everyone around me to be as happy as possible too. I try my best with her, but she throws it back in my face, and I hate it. She knows what buttons to press to wind me up and she just carries on with it.

yeah, my lady likes to critisize my driving too and I dont drive around with her all that often. ashley will do the same thing with attacking little things that I do. but what is currently going on is a little different. alot of people seem to want to date her besides me, and they arent being quiet about it. this kid keeps trying to take her out on dates and buy her expensive things and its making me mad. ashley does understand why it would make me mad so she accepts the guys offers. but we went to the mall today and I think things are getting better

Cool, loads of guys like her because she's goegeous mate. Anyway, that's beside the point. This kid obviously likes her, so it might be an idea to confront him (not aggressively however, just talk to him) and explain to him that she's yours, and that he can be friends with her if he likes, but thats as far as it goes. I take it you've already spoken to your lady, but if not, it would be a good idea to.

This matie especially with the condition you've got I can fully understand how you feel. This can be totally mis-inerprited. Even thought it may seem she's trying to wind you up by accepting these guys gifts, she may just be accepting them as a friend simply so she doesn't upset the guy by not accepting his "expensive gifts". I for one, even when I was still with Colette, would still accept another girls gifts, simply because they are a matie and I would not want to upset them by throwing the gift back in their face. Again, this is possibly something you need to talk to her about, but as I say, don't be aggressive, just sit and talk mate. Good Luck anyway mate.

well loves life isnt it guys? Right now im single and im planning on staying it but then again i said that when me and frankie split up. Right now i feel really awful im being bullied at school and my rabbits really ill im being attacked with all school work and problems with mates well you dont get you rewards for being clever. Col, throughout the majority of my school life I'd been bullied... the memories of having hurtful pictures of me drawn for the whole class to see are still there, the number of insults I withstood went into the thousands, if not tens of thousands... but I'm still here.

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but that's about as far as the saying is still true. Names will hurt you. You need to find a way to deal with it.

My way - and this is my way, find your own - was to just laugh it off, and eventually it just doesn't hurt any more. But despite that, I changed a little as well. Try not to think of the change as giving in to social pressure, I didn't. But I saw that sometimes, as much as I hate to admit it, they WERE right about some things.

I see it this way, you have two options with bullying. One is to fold, the other is to focus. If you fold, they win. If you focus, they get bored (and they do, trust me), and you will be a better person for it.

Bottom line: I understand. And I'm sure that patto does too.
