Just renewed last year's Yahoo! league. Yahoo will notify all of last year's managers. If anyone else wants in, here's the poop:

League Name: [TR] Moneyball
League ID: 83359
Password: damage
Draft: 29 March 2012 9:00 PM EDT/01:00 Zulu

We can discuss ditching the Can't Cut List (I'm OK with it).

I'll play again this year. Hopefully I'll be able to update my lineup more than last year.

And not get last.

Let me know if you need someone to fill out a spot.. I can't promise to be a fully involved manager, but I'll do more than be a dead team manager.

I sort of expect last year's 8 teams to show up again this year and there's 4 more spots available for now (a setting I can quickly fix if necessary). The only caveat is that there must be an even number of teams.

I joined as soon as I got the notification. Looking forward to it again. :D

Also, I'm cool with dropping the no-cut list. You get saddled with guys that get hurt in April and have surgery and then Yahoo won't let you dump them even though they're taking up your only DL spot for months. Seems like it takes forever for them to catch up.

Also, for Captain Ned's amusement (and the amusement of Yankees fans everywhere, I assume) here's AJ Burnett bunting a ball off his face. http://youtu.be/l66yvLMaZ7g

Good riddance. Never belonged on the Yankees in the first place.

EDIT: That bunt failure fractured an orbital bone (eye socket). Well, you wanted to go to the NL.

We've still got plenty of time, but at the moment we have an odd number of teams. Yahoo does not like odd numbers.

Draft is March 26th, so plenty of time. This was just a gentle reminder to the potential flock.

Well, someone dropped out so ATM there's 4 teams. Sign up if you'd like and I'll beat the bushes for team #6 (gotta have even numbers).

With only 6 teams the talent won't be spread very thin.

If you can get the league up towards 12 players, I would be interested.

Also Capt. Ned, Im looking for somewhat serious fantasy baseball players in the Chittenden County VT area to start up a new local league. Would you be interested in something like that?

Our minimum is 18 innings over 7 days. Does anyone think that'll be an issue over 5 days? Let me know soonest if so so I can change it for week 1.

I thought we had removed the whole Can't Cut list thing... or was that only for Football?

Is it too late to change now?

I don't think there was ever a discussion about removing the "can't cut" list, but when there's only 6 teams it runs pretty deep. The way the injuries are piling up on big-name players, though...

Yep.. I've got 8 of them on my roster.. From what I understand the Can't Cut List is for teams where people try and stack one team or something to avoid trades getting vetoed, etc... I don't think any of us would do that right?

Can't Cut List is no more. Took me a while through Yahoo's ever-helpful "help pages" to find the setting.

And no, it had nothing to do with this long-acknowleged Yankees fan's reaction to Mo.

Um, Mariano Rivera? The best closer in history? A closer who throws one pitch, so everyone knows what's coming, but a pitch that is rarely hit?

OK, I'll cop to being a die-hard Yankee fan since the mid 1970s. Mo is the current end of a line that starts with Sparky Lyle and flows through Goose Gossage and John Wettleand
