I owned my Klipsch Promedia 2.1 Speakers for 3 years now. Great set of speakers. Although I feel they may be a bottleneck now since I have an Asus Xonar Essence ST sound card. If the mid-range drivers in the satellites were an inch or two bigger, I wouldn't consider buying something more expensive, but the small drivers sort of limit the frequency response I would like to have. I'm an Audiophile, so for the average person, the Klipsch 2.1's are just fine, unless you have a bigger room and like to listen to music while you walk around the house, then they sound a bit lacking in detail as you move further away from them, since they just can't move enough air with the smaller satellites. If you do decide to get something bigger, perhaps with a seperate external amplifier, just make the the sound path remain 100% analog from the point it exits the computer all the way to the speakers.
Change sucks
