I have a P8P67 Pro REV 3.1 B3 mobo, i5 2500k. There is a new bios, v 3207. When I went under AI Suite, the new bios didn't show up, but it is on their web page as BIOS 3207, I have 2303. Is the new BIOS just for Ivy Bridge or is incompatible with my 2500k?

yes it shows up on that web page but not under AI Suite 2 like the previous version (2302) did. It says v2302 for me but the web site says v2303. I updated to v2302 via AI Suite 2. The previous version also enabled support for Ivy Bridge too but it works with my i5 2500k, or are these last 2 versions just for Ivy Bridge and should I go back to v 2103?

AI Suite is a horrible program. It can sometimes refuse to install (even on fresh installation of Win7), it often can't "fetch" the latest BIOS updates even if they're already available on Asus' website, and last time I've tried to use it for BIOS update - I had to spend extra 30 minutes on "recovering" procedure because it didn't flash the BIOS in a proper way. Much easier and safer to just download the BIOS update from Asus' site, put it on USB flash drive and update it from BIOS menu.

I was also wondering if the latest BIOS was compatible with my i5 2500k.

I should have explained myself a bit more. Updating the BIOS will not make anything incompatible with your current CPU. You should do what the above quote says and install via a USB drive.

And I would also add, if you don't have major issues with your current setup, just leave the BIOS alone. Doing it wrong or any accident will be a surefire way to brick your system.

Yes, this is a very good advice - there's no NEED whatsoever to update your BIOS if the current one is stable enough for you. New BIOS updates might bring in new undiscovered bugs, and "recovering" from improperly performed BIOS flash (if such thing occurs) can be very annoying.
