In a zombie apocalypse it's every man for himself.

The TR lads would be a distraction for my escape. I will have the cure that Will Smith game me 28 days ago. If I can keep the Winnebago running I will head out to the farm, until it gets over run by tanks and boomers. After that I will have to take a chopper from the top of mercy hospital to the military base where Bruce Willis, and Quentin Tarantino are corrupt soldiers infected with the virus. After making a close escape I find a gruff woody harrelson and Michael Care esque Jesse Eisenberg who is trying desperately to awkwardly get the girl. That gets annoying real quick so I hop a plane to the UK and take refuge in a bar with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg. We all live happily ever after in a drunken stupor.

The End.

Congrats, Scott, you currently have as many votes as the other three TR staffers!

Of course, 62% of respondents would rather use all of you as zombie bait.

That's because Scott posted pics of his shooting results to Twitter a few days ago.

That said, it was a pansy little gun. I dunno if it would spread grey matter enough to deal with zombies. GO FOR THE EYES, BOO!

I'm sure fitness would play a big part of survival, and despite the 'everyman for themselves' approach that seems to be favored, I think a team two is better than going solo.

Better brush up on your plans, folks - Patient Zero spotted in Miami.

Check the timestamps. I posted before that linked picture of Scott's shooting results :P

That also does not reduce the humor that, despite even more votes, a strong majority of TR users would use them as zombie bait. Geoff is leading the staffers right now at a whopping 14%.

Also, only two people out of 59 would take Jordan XD
On second thought, let's not go to TechReport. It's infested by crypto bull****.

I wonder, which are there more of on planet Earth; bullets or zombies? I'll take whichever side is ahead at the moment.

Geoff, clearly -- I'm not depending on any wussy Apple fanboy. Rugged, athletic, and he's got the Transformer Prime with GPS!

Scott? Too religious, would probably try to convert them or something.

Cyril? Too...French? I kid kid....

Fox? Read first sentence (though he would be amusing assuming I didn't eat him within 2 days).

Jordan? Too scrawny (I'm assuming).

I went with Scott because of the gun training and religious studies. I think it would be interesting to discuss theories with him during the inevitable periods of downtime running from zombies affords.

Also he's a leader, has a no nonsense personality, and probably doesn't talk or complain too much. Nobody likes a complainer.

38 Super is hardly pansy. In fact, 38 Super is what 9mm Luger wants to be when it grows up. :D

Fixed that for you. 8)

Meanwhile, you're the man who got me to quit thinking only of 45ACP (one of those Springfield by way of ?Croatia? huge magazine plastiguns) and instead to consider a Hi-Power, so-called.

(Or really any decent 9mm, for reasons having no business being in this thread.)

Indeed. The Hi-Power has class, and it even comes in .40 S&W if you don't want the 9mm.

It does, and it has ancestry that can't be topped. As for the other caliber, that produces the same thing I'm hoping to avoid with the smaller caliber 9mm. It's the same reason I own a 20 gauge rather than a 10 or 12 (OK, the 10 idea isn't serious). It's me being cheap and not having knowledge of how to verify the quality of originals that keep me away from Mr. Browning's gift to man. (I know about auction sites, but even though I've got an account or two, I can't quite bring myself to trusting them).

Try www.budsgunshop.com if the auction sites turn you off.

I know about Bud's, and they sell new ones for what appear to be decent prices. But first I think I'll get the plastigun, then look at something more interesting, after I learn what changes may have occurred over the years. I'll have to go re-read your post in the gun porn thread to see what made you get an older one, if my memory is right that you did.

My memory appears to have been wrong. It was the SKS you got that was old, and for whatever reason my mind switched the ages of the two.

Yup, and w/ regards to SKS's, they're all old.

I did wind up selling that Hi-Power a while back. It was too pretty to shoot, and I have enough safe queens as is.

I hate taking over this thread (not really), but what the hey...
That safe queen thing is one worry I have, which is one reason why I'm first planning on a plastic fantastic before anything else. I'm also still more in favor of shotguns than handguns for home use just in case of misfortune, but that's another subject entirely.
