Wait what? You can't pause it? That's just wrong.

One aspect of the game, despite it being "single player", is that other players can invade other worlds (alternate dimensions, whatever), so you can be unexpectedly invaded by a "black phantom". You can also summon helpful players (blue phantoms) to give you a hand, and if you feel up for it, you can invade someone else's game, too. Hence, no pausing.

Yeah but when you're not human form you can't be invaded... so walking away from the game is fine.

True, but I tend to be human form more often than not; I likes not having a ring slot taken up by my Cling Ring, ya know?

I always forget to switch out my Cling ring when I'm in human form :(

Just started playing Magicka and I don't believe any game, ever, has made me rage so much. I don't know if it's because I'm too clumsy to get off the right spells, or the game has some untested recent patches, but I'm finding most tutorials (which I almost never, ever use) online fairly worthless. Most of them seem to be applicable to exploits early on in the game that no longer work well. Quite maddening. One example is time warp (RE) is not slowing some characters down, or it slows their actions down but they can still track you with spells in real-time.

It is rageful because there are elements of this game I quite enjoy, but there are also elements that make no freaking sense (like how your character or his data or sheild are obscured frequently, or you are pushed off the map randomly.)

Still, I push on.

Dead Island.

I loved the game until I got to a point pretty far into the game, I'm pretty sure right near the end, where you have to keep some tribesman alive, and take out a butcher, a thug, and a crap ton of regular walkers. Doesn't seem so bad, right? except it auto saves right as you walk into the fight, and when your weapons/ammo degrade, they DO NOT go back to what they were from the save, but just keep going down every time you or the stupid AI dies. But, every time you/him dies, the zombies life goes back to full. I tried this part 20 times until all my weapons were broken and i had no ammo. There is absolutely no way I can do this part anymore without restarting the whole friggen game (after 17+ hours). I'm never playing it again.

Yeah that would really, really grate me the wrong way. Hopefully a patch fixes something like that by the time I get that game.

Crysis 2. Just when you get going, cut scene and b.s. Is it a game or a crumby movie.

World of Tanks, half the time I get mad at myself for being impatient and doing something stupid, and half the time at the game for pitting me up against something that no skill in the world could beat

I have the emulated Commodore 64 Donkey Kong, and I crushed my fists into my keyboard multiple times while playing that.

I gotta hand it to that keyboard. It's a Logitech with rubber dome keys but it's still got great action and feedback and everything even after 5 years, so I can't complain. Especially considering I've tried to kill it multiple times.

Tetris The Grandmaster Ace

I love Tetris but the TGM style of gameplay just does not work with TTC game rules, I keep feeling like I'm getting screwed out of victory on some of the Tetris Road segments or Promotional Exams that would have been no problem in TGM2/TGM3. Also the online is completely dead so there's nobody to play Vs. Tetris with :(

Mario games since NSMB for DS. Basically, Nintendo decided that Mario games should get really hard...sometimes frustratingly hard.

Mario Kart...goes without saying.

And WoW...although that has a lot more to do with players than the game itself.

EDIT: I completely forgot...any good game with an escort quest/level (/tableflip). Take Resident Evil 4. Great game! But then you have to keep someone alive even though she can't do anything for herself.
On second thought, let's not go to TechReport. It's infested by crypto bull****.

I know it's my own fault for PUG pvp'ing but I am way too casual to get on a premade pvp team.

Getting in a PUG PvP group where fresh 85's have greens. To them, getting honor is fine but I need conquest points. It often leads to a dreadful curbstomping.

I know people in greens need gear, but what really pisses me off is when they can't even bother throwing green gems or cheaper armor kits/enchants into their gear while grinding pvp.

I always wish I had a mod to tell avg item level per team. My theory is most PUGs are won by avg. item level because skill is likely to be generally equal in any random 15 v 15. If I saw average item level at the beginning of the game, I could predict with some algorithm my chance of winning. Though that might end up being depressing.

Fable II. Everything that you can do wrong in game interfaces, they did. The trail marker doesn't always show up, isn't always visible, and sometimes changes its mind about direction. The minimap isn't zoomable or adjustable and only takes up a third of the screen. Every texture in the game is reflective. Sometimes you walk near a zone exit to exit the zone, and other times you walk up to the exit and hold a button. The B button is used to back out of menus in game and in the pause menu, as well as some conversations, but if you use it outside of those situations, even with the safety on, you will cast spells at the civilians you are talking to. Your dog can just get lost and not come back when you fast travel if he's injured. There are unskippable cutscenes. If you skip cutscenes, you have no clue what's going on because the mission reminders and mission interface are terse and very vague.

I can go on.
