Series Sam 3: BFE is a stupid, gratuitous, hilarious romp of a game. Metro 2033 is a good time. Dead Island's alright. Bioshock 1 & 2 are often like $5.

I was looking for PC only or "best on PC" type.
PerfectCr wrote:I just built a new Gaming Rig (Ivy Bridge Core i5-3550, Radeon 7850 2GB, 8GB of RAM, etc etc). I own a ton of games on Steam but this being my first PC in five years (used Macs for the last 5) I am looking for suggestions on the best modern FPS games I should play. (I have all the great pre-2007) shooters already. Thanks for any suggestions you might have! I have a bias toward Single Player for sure. Thanks for your suggestions!

Really? Two people mentioned Bioshock...
And it was available on consoles.
EDIT: 3 with grantmeaname's post.
PerfectCr wrote:Thanks Guys. Seems like Bioshock 1and2 and Borderlands seems pretty unanimous. I am sucker for old school shooters so I might give Serious Sam 3 a shot as well. Crysis looks interesting as well.

I'm going to have to give a dissenting option on Bioshock.
I liked it overall, but it gets repetitive pretty quickly. The story was quite interesting though, which is what keeps it in the good category for me. Never played the 2nd game.
