Well i upgraded my cpu from a sandy based 2.4ghz DC g530 celeron to a 3.3ghz DC w/HT i3 2125 and the difference is like night and day......very pleased with the performance bump....for the most part it is like having a sandy based 2.4 ghz quad core but faster in single and double threaded apps with its higher clockspeed extra 1mb l3 cache with 12 way over 8 way, and AVX. To be honest i not sure what avx does but if i need it i have it. 119$ at newegg minus a 50$ giftcard....so it was a great 69$ upgrade....I have been playing with it more then my 2600k tower:)
Its like having 2 g530s but better, idle temps are a couple degrees cooler and load a couple hotter at 47c with 72 degree room and looping cinebench 5 times.
Everything is much snappier including bootup is drastically improved.
If you want a htpc with a lil balls or a cheap gaming cpu if you get the cpu for a deal the 2120 or 2125 are great chips.
