Difference between these boards?

Tue Jun 12, 2012 12:12 am

I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between these boards:

Asus P8Z77-V

and
Asus P8Z77-V Pro

I tried comparing the feature set at Newegg, but I didn't see any difference, except the Pro doesn't have a TPM connector, and has 1 more chassis fan controller. What is the TPM connector used for?

Anything else?

Few other differences
2 additional USB 3.0 ports (midboard)
16 phase VRM design vs 12 phase VRM design on the -V

From the manual:
This connector supports a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) system, which can securely store keys, digital certificates, passwords, and data. A TPM system also helps enhance network security, protects digital identities, and ensures platform integrity.
