Here comes the playoff, It will be interesting to see how controversial this could be with the selection committee.

This is dumb. There is already a Div 1 playoff system with the FCS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Divis ... ampionship). The thing is, no one watches it, and the schools get more money from the Bowl system.

If they would have been more open and gotten rid of the human component in favor of the religion of statistics, this could have worked.

Anyway, the BCS wasn't perfect, but it produced a lot of drama. How are they going to replace that?

Maybe people don't watch the FCS playoff because the championship game included North Dakota State Univ and Sam Houston State last year. I'm sure more people would be inclined to watch something along the lines of LSU/Bama/USC/Texas/OU/Michigan/OSU/etc/etc.

Plus, there will still be plenty of drama when picking the top four. I didn't read the whole deal yet, but how are they picking the top four? It's not just by the polls is it? And if so, are they using both polls? I'm sure the drama will still be there.

The current bowl system is completely a product of ESPN. It's all about hype and controversy and targeted television audiences. A playoff would be just as exciting and would generate just as much revenue, but some of it would be outside of their control.
