Best PDF reader on Android for books?

Thu Jun 28, 2012 12:55 am

I finally got around to install CM9 on my Touchpad and works nicely. It is a 9.7'' tablet with 1024x768 resolution for those unfamiliar with the device.

Now searching for a good PDF reader to read books and technical papers related to maths and programming.

I tried Adobe Reader, which sort-of works but the UI is very annoying with lots of swiping and relatively slow response.
Tried Aldiko, works well, but wondering if there are even better alternatives? Paid options are fine.

Side-rant: Tried Google Books and downloaded a few free books from the Play store. The application is very poor. Lots of fancy and sometimes annoying animations, and little actual serious book reading functionality.

I actually find that Amazon's Kindle application works pretty well. To get the content onto the app, download the Kindle app onto the touch pad, register it with Amazon to get the kindle device ID, and then use the Send To Kindle for PC app to upload your PDFs from your local system into the cloud and onto your device.
