xonar dg/dgx

Can anyone explain the difference between these two. From what I can tell the dgx is a pci-e version of the dg. Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, that's generally how the Xonar line product naming works. If you're enough of an audiophile, it could be worthwhile to check the Asus site in excruciating detail if you're worried about something like slightly different op-amps being used, because tiny changes between the D and DX versions of cards are not unheard of.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just needed to rearrange my setup so am going to swap from the dg so can I can use a pci-e 1x.

If you check the specifications they actually use a different chipset, but I would imagine that the performance is similar. The DGX is pretty new so it's hard to find any good reviews, but some users were complaining about noise in this post.
