mail after upgrading to windows 7

Sat Jul 14, 2012 12:56 pm

I realize that I'm a little late to the Windows 7 party, but I just upgraded Vista to 7 and downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird as my new email program. Can anyone walk me through how to get Thunderbird to find/recognize my old Windows mail that I had with Vista. As I understand, all of that old email is buried somewhere and I occasionally like to reference back to old emails. Any help would be much appreciated.

AFAIK Thunderbird can't import Outlook (or Outlook Express) e-mail files directly. You need to set Thunderbird up on the machine where you have the old e-mail client set up, and it transfers the folders over (with the help of the old e-mail client).
