Interesting Keyboard

Sat Jul 14, 2012 10:49 pm

Don't normally post about things from ArsTechnica, but this is interesting: a hand-carved wooden keyboard; http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2012/07/ ... and-mouse/

I personally like my Unicomp Customizer 104, though the one in the above article may be a nice look at some sort of eco-tech fair.

Welcome to 6 years ago, Arstechnica! Seriously, these things are nothing "new" - I've seen many wooden keyboards over the years, the first one I've seen was at 2006 or so, from this company:

The keys and spacing look a lot better for typing on the Impecca model.

Does this remind anyone else of the Futurama episode with the 1-X robot?

Perfect keyboard and mouse if you live in a log cabin with all hand made furniture, a chandelier made of elk horns and a few head mounts around on the walls. "perfict fit" :)

BTW the PC case is hand made from wood also...i have seen a bunch some look fantastic and i bet they are quiet also. no worry about vibrating fans with the sound dampening wood gives you.
