Much better than the Olympics

With the non stop coverage its been getting over here you'd think there was nothing else happening in London but that isn't the case.

Behold the glory of the London beer festival! :D

That's one side of the main hall. First time they've had it in Olympia and it's a much better venue that where it used to be (Earls Court). There were supposed be something like 700 different drinks available (which includes cider and perry) with most beers on stick. However I only managed to try about 20 (things started getting a bit fuzzy towards the end :oops: ) but I was sticking with halves to the weaker milds so I wasn't too hammered. Since milds aren't that common in pubs these days I like to pig out on them when I can.

Besides the beer there was also this enormous pile of pork scratchings to keep the thirst up!

If that isn't the perfect antidote to excessive sportiness I don't know what is!

I'd take that over the Olympics any day! I guess that George Osborne guy on the billboard made a killing at that!

Yeah, if it had been an outdoor event we probably would have burnt an effigy.
