Which Cyborg should I get

Wed Sep 05, 2012 6:19 pm

I was wondering which Saitek Cyborg I should get.
Should I get the M.M.O 7 http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=73326&vpn=CCB437130002%2F04%2F1&manufacture=Saitek&promoid=1360
or the White R.A.T 7 http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=65689&vpn=CCB437080001%2F04%2F1&manufacture=Saitek&promoid=1360

And dont spend the entire time telling me the flaws, I am already fully aware of the few flaws of this mouse and Im fine with it. You get a 2 year warrenty anyways and even though the customer service sucks, I know someone who works for them so he can get it through.

A mouse is a pretty "personal" thing when it comes to the overall shape and functions. For example, I don't need dozens of buttons all over it and useless macro/button mapping software that comes with it, but YOU might. So try them both, see which one YOU prefer, return whichever you don't like. Problem solved.

This thread title had me awfully excited, then I realized it was about computer mice. :(

Well, R.A.T 7, or even more so R.A.T. 9 - is terribly exciting. They are not very cheap though :(

I haven't used the MMO7, but if it's half as good at the RAT7/9 then it's still among the 3 best mice ever made. My RAT9 has held up quite well, I wouldn't say I'm hard on it but I'm certainly not a light user. I can highly recommend the RAT7/9 from personal experience, and the MMO7 from brand experience. Those mice are amazing!

Unfortunately there is no store within an hour of me that sells the MMO7.... so thats out of the picture.

Also I think Im going to try the M.M.O 7 simply because I already tried the RAT 7 and loved it, didnt like so much that on very old games, it had the double click issue, but only on old games, like 1990's games

I would recommend the R.A.T.7 over the MMO. Even as an MMO player I found those mice a nuisance and a gimmick, plus the R.A.T.7 is a much more comfortable mouse.

If you're short on buttons, move your WASD cluster over to ESDF and free up another three hotkeys on your left hand.
