So the video card in my main desktop popped some caps and died.
I have a couple of replacements in mind, and I would like to know if anyone has any experience with them in, obviously, Linux systems with the FOSS drivers. I was using a XFX Geforce 8600GT with the Fedora 17 Nouveau driver.
First up, XFX HD-675X-ZDFC Radeon HD 6750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150602).
Next, EVGA 04G-P4-2647-KR GeForce GT 640 4GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130818).
I'm not into gaming, so either of these will probably work. However, I do like running KDE, and Kwin is very picky about the video card drivers.
