NZXT H2 external SATA hot-swapping

Thu Nov 01, 2012 12:36 pm

As per the TR system guide, I have a NZXT H2 case with the external SATA dock on the top of the case (very nice feature BTW)

However, when I’m ready to change drives, I don’t see any way to stop or eject the drive under Windows 7 (ie what you would do for a USB stick). For those who have the same case, do you just yank it out at will, or are there some steps you do to ensure it’s not actively being used prior to removal?

If you don't get a removable disk option, you can use a utility like Hotswap! to disable the disk before removal. I've used that successfully to hotswap.
