Regarding performance...it depends, it's a mighty good cooler, but it's big, it might be overkill, it might not fit your case, it might have problems with you RAM heatsinks (i didn't see the clearance it has for RAM, check it out on their website), it might be incompatible with your motherboards heatsinks.....more things need to be considered than just price and socket compatibility.

BTW on what socket do you want to install it (what's your motherboard model)? What exactly are you trying to cool with that beast of a cooler?

Regarding price, i don't really know but i saw the D14 is listed at a higher price and yet the cooler you linked, afaik, is a tiny better performer.....so price wise, it might be excellent.

Its a fine cooler ranks as the best or up there with the best depending on what review you read. But it is huge and very heavy.
So heavy they can in fact warp the motherboard... knock the case over and your MB will probably crack.

I would get the h100i. If you have room in your case. It now comes with decent fans and a improved waterblock.
Sure its a 240mm radiator but i want one also....I am close to 2 years on my antec h60 type water cooler now. Thinking about replacing it before the pump fails.....it has been running 24/7

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=77648&vpn ... re=Corsair I think its 119.99cad worth spending.

If you can't fit a 240mm radiator in the top of your case then get the H80i it is only 10$ cheaper then the h100i . But both will outperform air coolers.
