Logitech K400 issues

Sun Nov 18, 2012 10:25 am

So I have a Logitech K400 and it is giving me headaches. On a fairly regular basis it seems to lose connectivity or have major input lag. Has anyone had this happen? Got a fix? It annoys the crap out of me.

I have the receiver plugged into the front of my HTPC and the keyboard is only a few feet away from the receiver.

Actually, it seems user related. It only happens when I lean back in my couch and put the keyboard on my lap. It seems that I block the wireless signal or something. I just make sure to put the keyboard higher up, maybe on an armrest, and it works flawlessly.

I had the exact same issue with htpc + k400. I have a lian li htpc case and also plugged it into the front usb ports.
I solved my issue by using an usb extension cable and moved the logitech reciever away from the pc. Not so much moving it closer to the couch, but moving it only a foot to the side. The range seems to have doubled.

Took your advice and got a usb extension cable to move the receiver farther away (and higher) than the computer. Keyboard works flawlessly now. Thanks for the tip!
