Asus P8z77-v lx no usb 2.0

I just finished building a new system using Asus p8z77-vlx motherboard. Everything is working fine except the usb 2.0 ports on the back. The usb 3.0 in the back and all usb front ports are working good. none of the usb 2.0 ports in the back are working. I tried plugging in a few different devices. Please help David

After windows did all of it's updates the UB 2.0 ports where working. I assume it had to update drivers Thanks for asking

Yeah, most likely the chipset drivers had to install first.

BUUUUT....for the fact that the USB 3.0 ports worked. That kinda makes things interesting. USB 2.0 ports shouldn't need to have chipset drivers to work.

Maybe an auxiliary chip providing the back-mounted USB? Funny place for that but I can't think of any other reasons unless OP maybe reset the CMOS and forgot.
