PC Power & Cooling owners here?

Sun Jan 13, 2013 3:19 am

I'm the proud owner of 2 PC Power and Cooling power supplies.

1 Turbo-Cool 510 SLI bought new in June 2006.(Still running strong after 6 1/2 years.)

1 Turbo-Cool 1200 (80 mm fan version) bought new on Jan.4,2013.
(also had a Silencer 750 from Dec.2006-still running strong- which I gave to a friend of mine.)

Love them both.

Yup, they're one of the best in the business. Or at least they used to be; I haven't heard much regarding whether they've managed to maintain the same level of quality since OCZ bought them out.
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

I've had a PP&C Silencer 750CF (the red one) in my gaming PC since mid-2008. I've used the Silencer PPCS500 in another PC since the beginning of 2009 with no complaints. Like just brew it!, I don't know how much they've gone downhill since being acquired by OCZ.

I've also been running the Silencer 750 red since 2008. Still going strong and ran a p45 / e8400 on 3.6 ghz 24/7, and an i5 750 after an upgrade in 2010. Powered a 4870, then a 2pcb gtx 295, and is currently running a gtx 670. I plan on doing a new build this year and am undecided whether to put it in the new haswell rig or keep it powering the secondary rig I'll keep based around the i5 750.

Nice psu if you manage your cables well :)

PCP&C Silencer Mk III 500W. Rebadged Seasonic modular unit. Been going strong.

EDIT: Oops, forgot to mention power output.

I had a PCP&C 1KW back when that was new and shiny and epic. I sold it because it was painfully loud. Right after, PCP&C was purchased by OCZ and OCZ dismissed pretty much all the staff. The PCP&C name was used to sell third party PSUs after that, so I stayed away.
Please don't edit my signature for me. Thanks.

Have a Pre-OCZ Sliencer 610W here. It's been running solid for four years. The bearing on the exhaust fan is starting to show its age though.

They used to be my first choice when looking for a PSU, now they're my last. I have a variety, ranging from the Turbo Cool 300 (bring earplugs) to the Silencer 610 powering my gaming system.
