Hi,

Two questions:

1. How much RAM is in your main PC?
2. How much RAM would be in a PC you bought tomorrow?

For the second question I'm curious as to how much you (personally, not your boss  ) would shell out for out of your own pocket.

1. 1024MB PC2100
2. 2GB+ PC2700+

And there's 4 other machines with 768MB and one with 256MB (little wimpy webserver doesn't warrant more).

1.5GB - PC133 currently

No less than 512M in a new machine probably over 1GB depending on the memory technology and hence the cose.

Right now, 512 MB of good ol' PC100. My current system's a little old school. 512 MB is the bare minimum for my next system - If I can afford more when I am building, I will buy more.

1) Hmmm...primary box @ home: 512MB PC-150. Primary box @ main client's office: 192 MB PC-100.
2) LAN box under construction: gonna have 256MB PC2100 to start, will eventually expand to 1GB. NEW primary box (in about 6 months time): will have at least 1GB PC2700 to start, to be expanded to 2GB.

512 MB PC133 CAS2 Now.

Future 512 MB of DDR or 'the next big thing' not developed by Rambus. I'm hoping for something faster than DDR and non-rambus related memory for my next system.

We have a Sun box at work with 6GB RAM. Holy schnikies! I have smaller hard drives!

512MB PC133 CAS 2 (I tried a full GB, but the mobo won't take it)

At least a GB in my next box, depends on price.

Right Now: 2 x 256 mb PC133 (cas 2)
Future: 256 was fine for almost everything. Now with 512, I almost never hit the scratch disk / virtual memory, so 512 seems to be fine for the forseeable future also.

Would be nice with 1GB but I don't need it that much and PC2100 DDR is getting quite expensive.
