Right now, 512 MB of good ol' PC100. My current system's a little old school. 512 MB is the bare minimum for my next system - If I can afford more when I am building, I will buy more.
1) Hmmm...primary box @ home: 512MB PC-150. Primary box @ main client's office: 192 MB PC-100.
2) LAN box under construction: gonna have 256MB PC2100 to start, will eventually expand to 1GB. NEW primary box (in about 6 months time): will have at least 1GB PC2700 to start, to be expanded to 2GB.
Future 512 MB of DDR or 'the next big thing' not developed by Rambus. I'm hoping for something faster than DDR and non-rambus related memory for my next system.
We have a Sun box at work with 6GB RAM. Holy schnikies! I have smaller hard drives!
Right Now: 2 x 256 mb PC133 (cas 2)
Future: 256 was fine for almost everything. Now with 512, I almost never hit the scratch disk / virtual memory, so 512 seems to be fine for the forseeable future also.
Max: "It seems these evil men will never begin to understand our peaceful nature."
Sam: "Hope they figure it out pretty quick. My trigger finger is blistering."
