The problem with the Skechers commercial is that "man outruns cheetah" was done during a Superbowl by Mountain Dew...about ten years ago.
I thought that was done before, whatever add agency came up with that deserves to go out of business.

Since when do commercials not suck? This is why I do not have TV service.

I can get all my shows in full on DVD without interruptions at a later date.

a well done commercial is vastly superior to most of the shows on television.

most of the M&M commercials are pretty funny, several of the Auto ones for the superbowl throughout the years...... could I do without commercials, absolutely but what I'd really like to do without is the crappy commercials just like I'd like to do without 99% of the reality... ok 100% of reality television, most reruns, and all round garbage series and movies, in comparison a commercial takes up around a minute of my time while a half hour to an hour or even a 2 and 3 hour movie takes up vastly more of it and it's not like most of the shows and movies don't suck as well.

ppl like to celebrate how they are no longer watching free to air media's supporting infrastructure but in the end it's counterproductive.

to be clear I like YouTube and it's assorted viewing but would I give up on YouTube to watch Game of Thrones with commercials, or Breaking Bad..... F#$k#$g Right I would without a moments hesitation.

I would not want to watch Game of Throne on broadcast media... Firstly, it's not appropriate for certain age groups (and no way to filter that OTA), and secondly, I don't think there is any way that a network would spend the money needed to produce programs like this. Also commercials break the immersion of the show. This isn't so bad for shows set in modern times, but for fantasy worlds, losing that immersion breaks the rhythm (i.e. Sword of truth series, etc)

you'd prefer to watch Game Of Thrones without commercials, if you didn't have that option you'd watch it with.

the rest doesn't apply.

Dodge however, not so much.

I don't buy cars based on magazine statistics, whether they're 4 years old or from last December's "Top Ten This-or-That From 2012!" article.

That would be like listening to a song with the speakers on mute.

To each his own, I suppose.

I'm not sure what your criteria are but the long term user reviews on the 2009 - 2010 Dodge Rams despite the web's nature of attracting squeaky wheels in droves are overall outstanding, I skimmed 100+ finding 3 bad ones, one of which was non specific and seemed suspect given the op's tag.

understand if you hate Dodge, hate them, I don't care it's your coin and your opinion, hate them... Dodge is terrible... to you.... whatever, but the 2009's were released in 08 and while getting old are aging very well, the series of trucks has been solidly ahead of all comers save the Ford F-150 which it's traded leads with for the past 4 1/2 years, the "professional" reviews say it's fantastic, the personal reviews say it, CR's long term review says it, few aren't saying it.

if you're going to curse it at least pick an easy target, the attack on the 2009-2013 Dodge Ram seems unjustified.

Working on Dodges all day long I can tell you, the trucks pretty much don't break, even the recalls are for things that we don't see failing, but have failed on rare occasions. Compare that to Dodge of old that had countless issues and almost no recalls or extended warranties offered after the 3/36 base warranty. The bankruptcy and being sold to Fiat are probably the best things that've happened to Dodge in decades. Since then it's been a whole new attitude, they revived training for employees, demanded better product, and as they've said over-invested in the US market to turn the company around...and as a result, US operations are the only profitable part of Fiat currently.

I'll be the first to admit that this is my 1970s experience talking, but touting a sale to Fiat as a major quality improvement is utterly foreign to my thinking. After all, the Yugo was a Fiat 131 built by Communists.

Since Mercedes ran the business into the ground, Fiat's management has appeared extremely generous by comparison.

after Chrysler was sold to FIAT for the price of a 1.4 liter engine FIAT came in and did 2 things very right, they've loosened the purse strings allowing the engineers to build the cars they wanted to and drastically improved in-system / corporate communication by pushing WCM adoption.

Dart is the 1st real FIAT product but it's sales have been hurt by $15,300 Dodge Avengers and 200's.... kinda hard to sell a Dart for $20,000 with more practical better equipped mid size sedans selling for less, to be honest I'm not sure why anyone is buying anything else in that price range.

Nope, it was a Fiat 127. Growing up we were a Fiat family and over the years had an 850, a 124 and a 131 Mirafiori. The 124 was the basis for Lada and Polski Fiat so we used to get cheaper parts for those. Those Fiats were rusty and unreliable, but they sure knew how to make an exhaust sound sweet.

True, but the Dart is a way better vehicle than the avenger or 200 from a driving and fit/finish perspective. The avenger and 200 are still hold overs from 07 and the mercedes years. They did what they could when they refreshed the Sebring into the 200, but, at it's heart it's still a Sebring. Hopefully once that platform reaches it's end of life, which should be soon they'll replace it with something better. We'll see how that works out when the current generation caravan is replaced later this year.
