Football Free Agency 2013

Wed Mar 13, 2013 4:56 pm

Wes Welker is now a Bronco with Peyton Manning throwing to him. Sucks for the Pats (who no longer have the Fred Biletnikoff first down + 1 yard option) but I see good things accruing to the Broncos out of this.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

I am totally stoked about this :) Now if we can find a way to keep Dumervil, I'll be through the roof... I can't keep up with free agency right now!!!

So far the Bills have lost their starting left guard, Levitre to Tennessee and then lost his replacement , Rinehart to San Diego.
On the plus side they finally cut QB Fitzpatrick, ( thank God for minor miracle ). Then they signed Manny Lawson from Cincy.
Every year hope blooms in spring , by the mid October its buried. Maybe the new young buck head coach Marrone can get the franchise going again.
After all if he could drag SU out of the cellar , anything is possible.

Packers have cut some dead weight, saved some cap space and not much else. They need DB's. They've needed DB's since Forrest Gregg was the coach

Talk about bargaining in bad faith:

The fax is 7 minutes late even though the contract was signed by the deadline, and Dumerville is cut.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

It's a mess :(

As far as I can tell both sides are idiots, although, I think it's more the agent... here's a good breakdown of the differences in story:

http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/broncos/entry/he-said-he-said-john-elway-marty-magid-dumervil-contract-gaffe

The Bronco's had to cut Doom by 3:59 ET (1:59 MT) otherwise his contract would be guaranteed be the full $12M. They told Dumervil they needed an answer by 3p ET..
